mY hIgh School cRush
I had a crush in high school once,
One that always made me feel like a dunce,
Tripping like duck with a dry feet,
Whenever I meet her on the street.
The jocks like peacock parades around the school,
Looking for a fool to make them look cool,
Like an angel out of the blue,
She appeared and eyes stuck on her like glue,
I tripped, I fumbled,
All my earlier resolve to face her crumbled,
The jocks that want to look cool,
Caught sight of my stature drool,
Got drawn to me like a moth to a fire,
To vapulate me thoroughly was their desire,
But bravely she stood between me and my obvious doom,
And caused the trouble loving boys to leave in a gloom.
She offered me a hand,
So that I could get on my feet and stand,
I brushed her aside like a prized dirt,
As I struggled to catch my breath.
She smiled and took no offense,
Her response made me tense,
Then, she asked for my name,
Unbelievably my vocal cavity went totally lame.
Denying me any ability to reply her,
And such opportunities are very rare,
As though harmattan and rain were locked in a french kiss,
The jock's snare after she left, my memory couldn't miss.

Lonely Nights
Let these hours and lonely nights,
Of missing and not seeing your beautiful eyes,
Resurface again with golden lights,
To fill the once starless skies.
My hopes and emotions came crashing,
When the realization that you are no more,
Suddenly engulfed me, but right now, I know you're there listening,
To my endless cries even if they were a bore.
I miss you,
But I know that you're in a better place,
Watching and sanctioning all that I do,
May God give me abundance of grace,
To fill the huge space that you've left.
Of missing and not seeing your beautiful eyes,
Resurface again with golden lights,
To fill the once starless skies.
My hopes and emotions came crashing,
When the realization that you are no more,
Suddenly engulfed me, but right now, I know you're there listening,
To my endless cries even if they were a bore.
I miss you,
But I know that you're in a better place,
Watching and sanctioning all that I do,
May God give me abundance of grace,
To fill the huge space that you've left.

Political Poetry
Aboard the flight of thoughts,
Swimming in an ocean deep of emotions,
Where pebbles look like treasures of old,
It'll be alright, is the lie that we're told,
As the generation of fools gets celebrated,
And the future gets debated,
By those whose opinions shouldn't count for a penny.
Sadness engulfs the heart deeply,
As every right gets turned to left,
And men with two left legs,
Who cant decide their left from their right,
Starts and spearheads our decision making process,
As though its their birthright to do so.
Shall we sit down and watch this show of shame?
Or shall we do something about it...
Swimming in an ocean deep of emotions,
Where pebbles look like treasures of old,
It'll be alright, is the lie that we're told,
As the generation of fools gets celebrated,
And the future gets debated,

Shall we sit down and watch this show of shame?
Or shall we do something about it...
Someone's Sleeping in My Bed
Someone is sleeping in my bed,
And that person's messing with my head,
Caressing my sweet and succulent skin,
Committing an unforgivable sin,
Holding my pillow to his mouth,
Plastering it with kisses inside and out.
Someone is drinking from my milk,
That person is playing and toying with my silk,
What that person is doing is very wrong,
Yet he's been doing it for long.
Someone is sleeping in my bed,
When he should have been sleeping on the couch instead,
And chose to wear clothes from my wardrobe,
Parading around my bedroom in my most expensive robe,
Pleasing the eye that is my world,
Without saying as much as a word,
It looks like someone is pleasing my chick,
Giving me thoughts that makes me sick,
What shall I do? What is the trick,
I feel as though I've been hit with a brick...
And that person's messing with my head,
Caressing my sweet and succulent skin,
Committing an unforgivable sin,
Holding my pillow to his mouth,
Plastering it with kisses inside and out.
